This is a plain-language summary of how we handle your information. It is a starting document and will be updated; for anything binding, our full terms will govern.
Who we are
InfraForce Africa ("we", "us") operates this platform, which connects verified technicians with companies, infrastructure problem-owners, and equipment buyers. Our pilot market is Nigeria.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to submit through our forms:
- Contact details — name, phone, WhatsApp, email.
- Location — country, region/state, and city.
- Professional details — skills, experience, availability, company details, the work you need done, or the problem you're reporting.
- Documents you upload — ID, certifications (including NEMSA), work photos, company registration (CAC), and photos or video of a reported problem.
You are never required to upload documents to make an enquiry, but they help us verify technicians and match work faster.
Why we collect it
To verify technicians' documents and certifications, to match technicians with companies and projects, to respond to problem reports and equipment requests, and to contact you about your submission. We do not sell your information.
How we store and protect it
Submissions are stored in a secured database (Supabase) and uploaded files in private storage that is not publicly accessible. Access is restricted to authorised InfraForce Africa administrators through an authenticated dashboard.
Cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept our cookie prompt — you can decline, and the site works fully either way. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We also use a privacy-friendly, cookieless performance tool that sets no cookies, and a strictly-necessary session cookie when an administrator signs in to the private dashboard (regular visitors never receive it). The intro animation uses temporary session storage — not a cookie — which clears when you close the tab.
Sharing
To do our job — connecting people — relevant details of a verified technician may be shared with a company seeking that skill, and vice versa. We share information with service providers who help us run the platform (such as our hosting and email providers) and where required by law. We are not an inspecting or certifying authority: NEMSA certifies electrical competency; we verify documents and connect.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it, then delete it:
- Contact & profile details (name, phone, skills, requests) — up to 24 months after your last activity with us, so we can match you to work and maintain a verification record.
- Identity & verification documents (ID, NEMSA and other certificates, CAC registration) — up to 12 months, after which we delete the uploaded files unless you're in active verification.
- We delete sooner if you ask us to, unless we're required to keep something by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or deletethe information you've submitted, or to withdraw your consent to processing your documents. We aim to respond within 30 days. Just contact us using the details below.
Consent for documents
Uploading identity, certification, or company-registration documents is optional. When you do upload them, we ask you to tick a consent box first — you are giving us permission to store and review those documents to verify your credentials. You can withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete them.
Terms of use
Use of this platform is also governed by our Terms of Use, which cover eligibility (you must be 18 or older), acceptable use, and the limits of what registration or a request guarantees.
